Casualties – Addendum 5

I have been writing these as I notice a headline popping up with the info.  I am taken aback by the frequency that it happens. I really want this blog to focus on issues that are relevant, and in isolation, these personnel changes would not be particularly meaningful. However, the fact that the administration continues to congratulate themselves on how smooth everything is running, it would seem to be germane to the conversation. It puts faces on their lies.

Hand to God, I didn’t expect this to morph into a never-ending rabbit hole. But here we are – two more casualties in the war on America –

US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley’s Chief of Staff Steven Groves and communications director Jonathan Wachtel have both quit their jobs. (1)

This brings today’s totals to:

5 Cabinet level nominees have withdrawn their own names

8 have resigned

12 have quit

10 have been fired

I try to keep the list only to significant positions, and honestly, my decision is not really based on any kind of science.  I assume that many other low-level employees have quit, resigned, or been fired based on the large number of them that make the front page of the news.
